Dear Sir/Madam

Compliment on Government’s Efforts in Aiding Flood Victims

With reference to the above matter, I would like to comment on the picture published recently on www.news.com.au. The picture is about the rescuers evacuating flood victims during the severe flood recently.

Government had done a very good job by sending a team of well-trained rescuers on time to help the victims. Those rescuers were highly efficient and were well-prepared in both physically and mentally. In addition, the rescue team showed good coordination and behaved professionally during the mission.

Furthermore, government provided sufficient and comfortable shelter to flood victims. In this critical time, the government succeeded to react spontaneously by providing ample basic needs such as food and medicine. The government also ensured a hygienic refuge is provided to avoid outbreak of diseases such as malaria.

The government also took further actions in helping the flood victims, especially the poor community by giving cash incentives. This cash incentive means a lot to those victims to rebuild or renovate their damaged homes. It also helped in compensating their damaged properties. This can help the victims to reduce the aftermath of the flood faced by the victims so that they can carry out their daily life as usual.

The government’s efforts are highly appreciated. However, as the saying goes, “Prevention is better than cure”, it would be better if the government could improve the efficiency of the drainage system as to prevent cases of flood from time to time. I would be grateful if my letter was published in your newspaper. Thank you for your attention.

Yours faithfully
