Aussie News 27: Qantas jet makes emergency landing after engine explodes

Qantas engine hole
In 31 August, a Qantas plane made an emergency landing after an engine exploded. The plane is a four-engine Boeing 747 which carried 212 passengers and departed from San Francisco International Airport for Sydney. One man said that there were a loud bang and flames coming out of the engine. According to Qantas spokesman, he said that none of the plane's passengers were injured. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

Comment:
Qantas should investigate the reason for the explosion and try to improve on the plane to prevent the accident to happen again. This is because they might not be so lucky for next time. So, as the saying goes "Prevention is better than cure".
