Aussie News 29: Child abuse is everyone's business, says Linda Burney

According to the New South Wales Government, protecting child abuse is everyone's responsibility. Recently, the new figures showed that the child abuse has remained unchanged but the community is not willing to report violence against children. The survey showed that people wouldn't report suspected child abuse mainly because they scared that they may be wrong and 42% of them ststed that it wasn't their business.Besides that, according to the latest NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics, there were over 20458 cases of child abuse. The 70% of the assaults included murder, domestic violence, sexual assault and robbery.

Comment:
Children's well-being is everyone's responsibility. So that, if you suspect that child abuse happens around you, just report. With this, we can prevent many children from violence.
